Great News! Yesterday Luke went for his interviews at the school we have been working towards getting him into and Woo Who!
He did Awesome and He’s in!
He did great on his entrance exams and even better on his in-person interviews with the Head Master and the Founding Master! When the lady came out and said , “Well Luke I’m very happy to welcome you to Wellington, Congratulations!”
We were ecstatic!
We are excited to learn how school will differ from the US? We do know he’ll wear a uniform, but he did before. The school day is an hour longer and they use a different curriculum than the US does. It’s great for Luke that the class/school size is about the same as the school he has attended since Kindergarten. Also, there are many other BP kids that will live in the same complex going to Wellington as well! It’s not very far away either!
So Wellington is an International School with several other locations around the world. I have the link at the top if any of you would like to look around the website. The campus is beautiful, all brand new and situated on the Mutha River with a lot of jungle like vegetation. There are several parts of this new facility completed besides the classrooms, cafeteria and offices. So far the auditorium, swimming pool, football field and a cute Cafe are completed. And if you’re wondering, as we were-what about the mosquitoes there with the river so close? The school has taken great precautions in the most humane way to ensure the students and staff are as safe as possible.
Each of the staff and administration were so kind and professional we cannot say enough about how comfortable it was throughout the entire process. Luke seemed perfectly at home already!
Again, we are thrilled to have the school hurdle behind us and can rest assured Luke is a Welly!
Thanks to all for your support as we are getting our bearings and settling into Pune India!
Stay tuned 🌿
